On Sunday 1st March 2009, be there at The Bakery for the last Back to Burlesque show before the Bakery closes for year-long renovations!!  For this special occasion, Sugar Blue Burlesque is presenting a Best Of show, showcasing all the best, favourite and most controversial acts from the past year, for one huge final hoorah!

About the Show

Back to Burlesque is a hedonistic night of music, dancing, comedy, burlesque and cabaret! See Perth’s finest live burlesque acts hit the stage to tease and tantalise, in a brand new show every month!

Visit The Bakery to see one of Sugar Blue Burlesque’s modern day Minsky’s stage shows, featuring a variety of eye-popping striptease and vaudevillian antics from the worlds of burlesque, jazz, cabaret, speakeasy and sideshow!

Join our cabaret of burlesque bombshells, circus sweethearts, chorusline cuties, hepcats, swingkids, go-go girls, hoofers and jitterbugs for a night of swingin’ and funky tunes, sassy, classy laffs and goodtimes!

Prizes for best dressed, so join in the cabaret fun!

Show is projected onto the big screen, so everybody gets a great view!”

The Burlesque Lounge Website

The Burlesque Lounge is now open for business, and the website has just been launched! 

“In late 2008, Sugar Blue Burlesque made a new home for itself at The Burlesque Lounge in Northbridge. Home to Sugar Blue Burlesque, and also headquarters for David Woolley of Vintage Glamour Photography, the Burlesque Lounge is a dance studio, cabaret lounge, photography studio, art space and more!

Sugar Blue Burlesque runs classes and workshops at The Burlesque Lounge, as well as holding Graduate Shows, Hen’s High Teas, a monthly Retro Market, Dr Sketchy’s Anti-Art School and other events. David Woolley has a fulltime photography studio in the space, which is home to the Vintage Glamour Workshops, as well as private photographic sessions.”
